Our executive team has more than 170 years of combined experience in this market, and we have a strong integrity-based culture that focuses on respect and honest communications. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in CAD design.

Summary

  • The Mechanical Engineer will design the mechanical part of our instruments, including sample handling and interface to the electro-optical system.
  • Position will be open to remote working.
  • Part-time or full-time engagement, as employee or as a contractor.
  • Visa sponsorships are NOT available for this role.

Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, may be waived in favor of applicable experience.
  • At least 2 years of work experience with mechanical design.
  • Solid background in CAD design (Solidworks, Fusion360, et.).
  • Experience with optical components would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor process equipment preferred.
  • Flexibility for working in a highly dynamic startup environment.

Key Job Tasks

  • Interface with internal team members and outsource partners.
  • Conduct and/or supervise design validation testing.
  • Support turning prototypes into high quality released products.
